The oldest Scripture ever found came out of a tomb
Outside Jerusalem, in a burial chamber at Ketef Hinnom, archaeologists recovered two silver amulets rolled tight as cigarettes. Unrolled, they carried the Priestly Blessing in Paleo Hebrew, engraved around 600 BCE. Four centuries older than the Dead Sea Scrolls. The oldest known text echoing the Hebrew Bible.
Why KH1 is different
KH1 is the larger scroll, 27 by 97 millimeters, and it opens with the covenant formula before it reaches the blessing: the faithful God who keeps covenant and lovingkindness with those who love Him and keep His commandments. That is Deuteronomy 7:9, worn on the body in the days of Jeremiah.
